The basis of the story of Alraune dates to the Middles Ages in Germany. The humanoid-shaped Mandrake root or Mandragora officinarum was widely believed to be produced by the fluids of hanged men under the gallows. Alchemists claimed that when hanged men broke his necks, vital fluids fall to the floor and the earth absorbed their final "strengths". In some versions, it is blood or semen. The root itself was used in love philtres and potions while its fruit was supposed to facilitate pregnancy. Witches who "love" to the Mandrake root were said to produce offspring which had no feelings of real love and had no soul.

did you use a base? if not, how old are you? how long have you practice? What type of drawings do you draw this is, manga, anime or what?

Good heavens. No I did not use a base, I am 25, I've been drawing since I was in elementary school, but only drawing Monster High for about two years, it's a cartoon? Manga is a comic which this is not, anime is animation, which this is not. It's simply a cartoon in style.

Mandrake is a mythical creature that was created long before Harry Potter. But yes, they do exist in Harry Potter as well.

I apologize for the conufsion, I meant as in comparison, because vampires and the like are so common for OCs in the Monster High fandom ^-^
